The women's Bundesliga club from Leipzig has brought in a technically skilled attacking player and is hoping for more dynamism. A long-term contract has been signed in return.

Women's Bundesliga club RB Leipzig want to further boost their attacking play and have found what they are looking for in Sweden. The Saxons have signed Mai Kadowaki from Swedish champions FC Rosengard. According to a club statement, the Japanese player has signed a long-term contract until June 30, 2028.

The 23-year-old Kadowaki played 43 times for Rosengard and scored 18 goals. She also set up ten goals. Before moving to Europe, she played in the Japanese university league and came through Japan's youth national teams.

"With Mai, we are gaining a versatile and technically skilled player who will make our offense more variable with her qualities. She has already impressed at international level and brings a new dynamic to our team with her style of play," said Viola Odebrecht, Head of Women's and Girls' Football at RB.
