RB Leipzig's good start to the season has resulted in three players being called up for international matches. Giovanna Hoffmann has been called up to the senior team and two players have made it into the U23 squad.

Giovanna Hoffmann from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig can hope to make her first appearance for the national team. The 26-year-old attacker has been nominated by new national coach Christian Wück for the upcoming international matches, as announced by the club and the DFB. With coach Wück also making his debut, the German team will face hosts England at Wembley Stadium on October 25 (8.30pm), followed three days later by Australia in Duisburg (6.10pm).

Hoffmann moved to Leipzig from SC Freiburg last summer and scored three goals in his first five league games. He also provided three assists. "I haven't really realized yet that it's really happening," said Hoffmann, "it's an incredible honour to be able to play for Germany and take part in the training course. My path to this point was long and not without obstacles, so I'm simply overjoyed and very grateful that I can now be part of it."

Fudalla and Landenberger join the new U23s

Vanessa Fudalla and Julia Landenberger will make two more debuts for the resurrected U23s. From October 21 to October 29, the current top scorer in the league with five goals and the defender, who signed permanently from champions Bayern Munich in the summer, will take part in the training course as well as the international matches against France in Frankfurt on October 24 (4.30 pm) and against Italy in Florence four days later (2.30 pm).
