Inspired by the European Handball Championship, RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose has spoken out in favor of live images from the dressing room. However, these should only be broadcast before the game and not for too long, as was currently the case with the German handball team. "There were 30 seconds from the dressing room before the game, showing the boys coming in and sitting down and relaxing a bit. That was interesting for me as a coach to see," said Rose.
The 47-year-old can certainly imagine the same for Bundesliga matchday broadcasts. "That could also interest people outside. What does a dressing room look like? How do the boys get in there? What happens there?" said Rose. It's completely innocuous, a few seconds and the topic is over.
During the game, however, the TV cameras should remain outside. "I won't be broadcasting a speech during the half-time break. That wouldn't be my thing right now," said Rose. He believes you should be open to such things.
Rose emphasized that despite all the changes and innovations, you must not lose sight of the fans. He cited the Spanish Super Cup, which was held in Saudi Arabia, as an example. "You have to listen to the fans, you have to have a feel for what they want and what they don't want," said Rose. A German Super Cup in Saudi Arabia was not advisable simply because of the long journey.
