Three companies from Dresden and Radeberg are the winners of this year's State Awards for Foundations, Transfer and Innovation. Poweron GmbH Dresden was chosen for its flexible bionic robot technology, which gives robots fingertip sensitivity, the Ministry of Economics announced Tuesday evening. Nuclear medicine expert Johannes Notni of Trimt GmbH convinced with the research and development of novel biomarkers for the detection and treatment of pancreatic cancer and Novum Engineering GmbH with the detection of state of charge, capacity and life of batteries with the help of artificial intelligence.
For the awards, which are endowed with up to 130,000 euros, there were 129 applications this time, according to the ministry, from which the best concepts were selected. The state awards are intended to make the innovative strength in the Free State visible and to spur actors on again and again to new achievements. The public voted for the "Vegane Fleischerei" in Dresden, Saxony's chambers of crafts awarded a special prize for the lead- and nickel-free trumpet of Werner Chr. Schmidt - Mundstück- & Metallblasinstrumentenbau (Markneukirchen).
