Saxony's science is the foundation for innovative strength and competitiveness as well as the economic strength and attractiveness of the Free State. Klaus-Dieter Barbknecht, Chairman of the State Rectors' Conference, thanked the state government for the planning security that the agreement gives the universities.

In addition to wage and salary increases, the agreement also includes funds for special tasks, such as the fight against the shortage of skilled workers, digitalization in teaching and administration, sustainable campus development and technology transfer.
