After the renowned Games Convention Leipzig said its goodbyes years ago, the gaming industry is finally returning to the Saxon metropolis. With the launch of the "CAGGTUS" trade show, Leipzig has created a new focal point for gaming enthusiasts and developers, putting the region back on the gaming map. The event promises to fill the void left by the departure of the Games Convention and put the Saxon gaming scene back in the spotlight.
An impressive first day at CAGGTUS Leipzig'23
The first day at CAGGTUS Leipzig'23 has exceeded all expectations. The participants are thrilled by the great atmosphere, the friendly people and the highspeed internet provided by envia TEL as a partner. The speed of an incredible 40 gigabits per second ensures a smooth gaming experience.
Germany's biggest LAN party: gaming enthusiasts at the center of the action
The LAN area is bustling with up to 1,500 players who have brought their gaming gear. Some even have mattresses with them to play through until Sunday. Despite the size of the event, the atmosphere is calm and focused. Still, there is time for short breaks, for example for the Snagger giveaway.
Varied activities besides the LAN area
Besides the LAN area, there are numerous other attractions, such as the FPV Arena, sponsored by the enviaM Group. Here visitors can control small cars through VR goggles. The streamer scene is also represented and reports live from the fair. In addition, there are booths with merchandise and stages where gamers compete against each other.
Creativity and nostalgia: casemodding competition and retro gaming
For PC enthusiasts, CAGGTUS Leipzig'23 offers a casemodding competition where participants can create the most creative PC build within 24 hours. Fans of retro games will also get their money's worth, as there will be consoles from decades past to discover.
enviaM eSports Team and a promising weekend
The enviaM eSports Team will also be on site, busily socializing with other players. Everyone involved is excited about CAGGTUS'23 and looking forward to the upcoming weekend. Visitors are welcome to stop by and experience the event for themselves.
E-Sports Network Meeting and Panel Discussion with eSports Bund Deutschland
The second day of CAGGTUS Leipzig'23 featured the E-Sports Network Meeting, where eSports Bund Deutschland was also represented. Afterwards, there was a panel discussion in which perspectives for popular sports were discussed. The non-profit nature of e-sports promotes cooperation with youth and sports clubs and motivates the founding of new initiatives. The conclusion of the discussion was positive and shows how much potential there is in e-sports.
