Leipzig (dpa/sn) - The development plan for Leipziger Messe is to be revised to make it more diverse and attractive. One of the aims of Leipziger Messe GmbH is to ensure that the existing exhibition halls on the approximately 111-hectare site can be used differently and expanded, according to the city. There is also a lack of storage space on site and open-air events are to be made possible on the site. The owner could also imagine using some areas to generate renewable energy, the statement continues. The building department is now working on the changes and the city council still has to decide on the plans.
