Police in eastern Saxony have stopped a drunk driver at the wheel of a hazardous goods transport. The truck had caught the attention of highway police officers because it was driving in the Königshainer Berge tunnel, although this was not permitted with its load. During a subsequent check, the officers detected the smell of alcohol in the 43-year-old driver, according to the police. An alcohol test showed 1.44 per mille. The man was not allowed to continue his journey.
