In a head-on collision between two cars in Kamenz, two women were seriously injured. A 65-year-old driver was for as yet unexplained cause in the district of Lückersdorf-Gelenau with her vehicle into oncoming traffic and collided with the car of a 52-year-old, the police announced on Wednesday morning.
The 52-year-old was trapped by the impact in her vehicle early Tuesday evening and had to be freed by emergency forces of the fire department. Both the 65-year-old and the 52-year-old were taken to a hospital by helicopter due to their serious injuries. According to police, the women's condition is stable.
