A man and a woman were seriously injured in an accident on the Autobahn 4 near Glauchau (Zwickau district) on Thursday afternoon. Rescue workers took them to hospital, as the police reported on request. A rescue helicopter was also deployed. However, it was not needed.
According to the information, a car skidded when entering the highway due to the wet road surface. The car then crashed into the side of a passing car. No further information was initially available in the afternoon. The highway was temporarily closed and a traffic jam formed. The road has since been cleared again.
