At the start of the winter vacations in Saxony, 77 passenger planes will be taking off from Saxony's airports from Friday to Sunday. 32 will take off from Dresden Airport and 45 from Leipzig/Halle Airport, according to Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG. In addition to major German and European cities, destinations in the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Red Sea and Scandinavia are also very popular.
For example, six aircraft fly from Leipzig to Hurghada (Egypt), four to Antalya (Turkey) and four to Las Palmas (Spain). Two aircraft will also take off from Dresden to each of the destinations Antalya, Hurghada and Palma de Mallorca. There will also be flights from Dresden to Gran Canaria.
The winter vacations in Saxony begin on February 17 and end on March 1.
