Rescue services did not have to respond to any new incidents. Only isolated damage caused by storms in Bautzen and Görlitz. German Weather Service warns of renewed thunderstorms on Sunday.

The storm largely spared the Free State of Saxony on Sunday night. According to the East Saxony and Dresden rescue control centers, the emergency services were not called out to any new operations. Things remained comparatively calm on Saturday too, with a total of 16 severe weather operations registered in the districts of Bautzen and Görlitz over the course of the day. The fire department mainly had to clear roads of mud. According to the Leipzig and Chemnitz police departments, there were also no major operations or damage.

Despite forecasts of up to 120 liters of rainfall per square meter within 48 hours, the situation in the town of Plauen in the Vogtland district remained relaxed. According to the city, there were three minor weather-related operations during the night.

According to the German Weather Service (DWD), strong thunderstorms with localized heavy rain, squalls and small-grained hail may occur again during the course of Sunday. Highs of between 19 and 24 degrees are expected. The last showers will then move away on Monday night - with lows between 8 and 11 degrees.
