A robbery occurred on Friday afternoon, March 14, 2025, in the west of Leipzig, more precisely in Ratzelstraße in the Lausen-Grünau district. At around 11:25 a.m., a 26-year-old man was robbed by three unknown perpetrators. The Leipzig police department is investigating at full speed, but the officers are dependent on support from the public to solve the crime.
According to the information available so far, the course of the crime is as follows: First, the victim was approached by two perpetrators who asked him to leave his rucksack behind. The 26-year-old ignored this demand and continued on his way. The two offenders followed him on foot, with a third offender joining them after a few meters. When the victim continued to refuse to hand over his rucksack, the perpetrators violently attacked him. They kicked him and then pushed him into a bush from behind, causing his rucksack to fall to the ground. The perpetrators grabbed the rucksack and also took a smartphone before fleeing the scene.
The following details were obtained about the suspects' personal description: The first perpetrator is male, between 20 and 30 years old, slim and about 1.75 meters tall. He has an Arab phenotype and was wearing a black jacket, dark blue jogging pants and dirty white sneakers. The second offender, also male and in the same age range, is described as about 1.90 meters tall and strong. He also has an Arab phenotype and was wearing a black jacket, dark trousers and black shoes. The third perpetrator is male, about 1.80 meters tall and slim. He also has a full beard and was wearing a dark green jacket with a conspicuous white pattern on the right sleeve and dark trousers, possibly jeans.
