Gift fair expects 7,000 trade visitors

The latest gift and home trends will be presented at the Leipzig trade fair. To this end, 345 exhibitors and brands are presenting themselves - about as many as in the previous years 2022/2023 (350), according to Messe GmbH. Around 7,000 visitors are expected by Monday. According to the information, the Cadeaux and Midora trade fairs will showcase the latest products for gift-giving and living, indulgence, floristry, arts and crafts, stationery, wellness, watches and jewelry. They are open exclusively to trade visitors.

"The market is changing noticeably, especially with regard to the increasing closure of stores and the challenge of succession planning," explained a trade fair spokesperson. "Nevertheless, we are seeing an exciting trend towards new business models." As an example, she mentioned so-called concept stores, in which the goods are presented in a special way and a shopping experience is created.

At the exhibition grounds, a "pleasure village" with live shows and workshops will provide information about new baking trends. Chocolate and spice experts will also share their knowledge. Meanwhile, the special show "Jewelry meets Floristry" combines the areas of floristry and jewelry and aims to offer retailers inspiration for the upcoming sales season.
