After an ICE train traveling from Hamburg to Munich collided with a concrete block on the tracks near Sandersdorf-Brehna (Saxony-Anhalt), there were numerous delays and train cancellations. According to Deutsche Bahn, the line between Landsberg and Roitzsch was closed for almost three hours on Wednesday evening. There were no injuries or damage to the train.
According to the Federal Police, passengers in the carriages had seen three young people who came out of a bush after the train braked dangerously and made their way towards the adjacent settlement on bicycles. The Federal Police are investigating for dangerous interference with rail traffic. A total of 28 trains were delayed. In addition, 13 trains were diverted. Nine trains were completely canceled and two more were partially canceled.
