Moped rider hit by car in Marienberg: seriously injured

A 20-year-old moped rider was hit by a car in Marienberg and seriously injured. A 53-year-old man had turned off Dorfstraße into Grundweg in his car late on Thursday afternoon, the police said. As the moped rider was not far enough to the right, he was no longer able to take evasive action. The two vehicles collided and the moped rider crashed. The 20-year-old was taken to hospital.
