The Halleschen FC officials have reacted angrily to the rescheduling of the match at SC Freiburg II. The German Football Association (DFB) scheduled the encounter on Thursday for Tuesday, November 28, with kickoff at 19:00. The match, originally scheduled for Oct. 14, had been postponed because Freiburg had been affected by player withdrawals for the U20 national team.
"The decision of the DFB, the game with the farthest journey, despite intensive efforts to find alternatives and by us brought date proposals, which were partly coordinated with the opponent from Freiburg and which would have allowed an adequate preparation for the game, to put on this date, meets with great incomprehension," communicated the HFC on his website.
The temporal appointment of this postponed game represents a challenge for the team and the traveling fans. "With only a three-day break, the away game against Unterhaching is already scheduled for the following Friday, which means that over 30 hours of bus travel will be required in a period of just five days," the statement continued.
