The DSC women's volleyball team kept their chances in the battle for first place alive with a clear victory in the eastern duel.

Four days after the narrow 3:2 win in Münster, the Dresden SC volleyball team won the East duel against VfB Suhl Lotto Thüringen 3:0 (25:14, 25:18, 25:19). They thus remain in contention for the top places in the table.

In front of 2,621 spectators, Dresden were wide awake right from the start. They served very powerfully. Director Sarah Straube was able to use her attackers very variably from a stable reception and the block and court defense also stood firm.

In the first two sets, Alexander Waibl's charges played very compactly against the understrength visitors from Thuringia. The DSC women shifted down a gear at the start of the third period - Suhl got into the game better after making a few changes. However, Dresden displayed its qualities in all areas. Marta Levinska, who was the most successful sorter with 15 points, converted the third match point after just 71 minutes.
