After losing four games in a row, Erzgebirge Aue won a game again. However, this victory was not a liberating blow.

Erzgebirge Aue celebrated another win after four defeats in a row. The third-division soccer club won 1:0 (1:0) at VfB Stuttgart II. Marcel Bär (16th minute) scored the winner for the Veilchen. Aue also managed to keep a clean sheet for the first time in eight games.

The promoted team from Stuttgart had the first dangerous chance in the very first minute of the game. However, Jarzinho Malanga only hit the post. A curious free-kick mistake by VfB led to a counter-attack for Aue after the first quarter of an hour. A long ball from Mirnes Pepic from his own half found Marvin Stefaniak, who in turn crossed to the recovered Marcel Bär (16) in the penalty area. Bär scored his sixth goal of the season on the volley.

The second half started well for the Violets. The free-standing Pepic only had to push the ball over the line from five meters, but missed the goal by a wide margin. This chance symbolized the better start to the second half for Aue. The Violets largely managed their narrow lead, while Stuttgart lacked offensive strength.
