RB infirmary fills up: Poulsen, Bitshiabu, Elmas injured

The injury list at Bundesliga club RB Leipzig is getting longer and longer. In addition to long-term injuries to Xaver Schlager, David Raum and Xavi Simons, Yussuf Poulsen, El Chadaille Bitshiabu and Elif Elmas are now also out for longer with muscle injuries, according to the club. Poulsen suffered the injury in his Danish national team's international match against Serbia, Elmas in North Macedonia's game against Latvia. Bitshiabu was injured in training. RB expect all three players to be out for several weeks.

In contrast, coach Marco Rose may be able to call on Lutsharel Geertruida and Castello Lukeba again on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky) in the Bundesliga match at TSG Hoffenheim. Both have recovered from muscle injuries and are expected to return to team training later this week.
