Ahead of the top games against his ex-club VfL Wolfsburg and FC Bayern, RB Leipzig's women's coach Savan Uzun believes his team is still in a learning process. "The Bundesliga is new territory for us, we are paying a lot of dues. We will already need some time, but we are progressing step by step," said the 36-year-old in an interview with the "Kicker" (Thursday).
After the 1:3 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt, it goes this Sunday (14.00 clock) for the first time in the Red Bull Arena against the top team from Wolfsburg, where Uzun once coached the second team. "Frankfurt, Bayern and Wolfsburg in a row - that's already tough as nails. But it's awesome, we can see how we've progressed," said the coach of the Bundesliga promoted team, which is currently ranked eleventh.
The comparison between men and women is easy for Uzun, as the "men think differently. Women are more on their toes than men," he said with a grin, bringing up "receptivity" as an example. "And they have a different emotionality. When I say something, I have to pay attention not only to what I say, but how."
