The A4 in Saxony will be fully closed on several sections on Wednesday for soil investigations and retrofitting work. Construction work will take place in the Königshainer Berge tunnel from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, as announced by Autobahn GmbH Niederlassung Ost on Tuesday. The highway will be closed in both directions between the Kodersdorf and Nieder Seifersdorf junctions (both in the district of Görlitz). Detour will be set up for the slip road onto the A4.
From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., the exit at the Glauchau-Ost junction in the direction of Chemnitz will also be closed due to soil investigations. Traffic will be diverted via the Hohenstein junction. Until Thursday, only the left lane can be used between the Dresden-Wilder Mann and Dresden-Flughafen junctions. The slip road at the Dresden-Hellerau junction will also be closed. The reason for this is maintenance work.
