Today, on the Day of German Unity, Dresden's Old Town was once again full of people. Tourists from Germany and all over the world took selfies in front of the Frauenkirche and at the Fürstenzug. It's nice to see that Dresden inspires so many people.

Then, in front of the Hofkirche, a completely different picture presented itself. A stage was set up, and a familiar voice, Maximilian Krah, gave a speech to party supporters. In terms of content, there was not much new. The people who listened to him clapped repeatedly, and here and there one heard a "That's right" or "That's right." There were also blue balloons and a well-attended beer stand.

But there should be more going on at Schlossplatz. In front of the portal of the Dresden Hofkirche young people gathered with EU flags and rainbow flags. From a distance, the state parliament member Albrecht Pallas (SPD) could already be seen, who had taken the time to speak. The small demonstration was organized by the Young Liberals of the FDP, the SPD and the Greens quite spontaneously and was under the motto of the defensible democracy.

Against 13:00 o'clock then basses boomed over the Augustusbrücke. Accompanied by slogans, banners and blue lights, demonstrators from the left-wing camp approached to loudly oppose the event with the many blue balloons. The participants of this demonstration chanted "anti-fascist" slogans. One speaker was critical of Maximilian Krah, but unfortunately it seemed a bit unstructured and went down. Then techno music pounded out of the speakers again. People were dancing. With the blue balloons, the stage remained empty at times because the speakers were not understood. So the concept worked.

At about 14:00, a couple, slightly swaying, walked towards Augustusbrücke. She said to him: "Look, these are the leftists ..."
