Airbus builds fire protection center in Bremen

Aircraft manufacturer Airbus is building a center for fire protection in Bremen. Construction of the facility will begin symbolically on Thursday (from 14:00) with a ground-breaking ceremony, according to a statement from Airbus. The center will investigate how hydrogen aircraft can be protected from fires. Airbus plans to use a hydrogen-powered commercial aircraft for scheduled flights by 2035. Bremen's Senator for Economic Affairs Kristina Vogt (Left Party) and Airbus Head of Technology Sabine Klauke are to take part in the event.
