The streetcar infrastructure in Dresden is being renewed. The federal and state governments are supporting the measures with a total of 14 million euros.

Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe will receive around 14 million euros for the renewal of its public transport network. Investments in a modern, clean and climate-friendly infrastructure are investments in the future, announced Transport Minister Martin Dulig. "They not only enable mobility, but are also the basis for an efficient and environmentally friendly transport network that enables an attractive public transport service," emphasized the SPD politician. The federal government is therefore providing ten million euros and the Free State a good four million euros.
