Farmers in the district of Meißen have continued the nationwide farmers' protests by blocking the entrances to a logistics company and a food warehouse. The access road to the logistics company in Radeburg is now free again, the police announced on Thursday. The blockade of the central warehouse of a supermarket chain in Thiendorf was registered until 1 p.m.
"Police officers supervised the demonstration," said a spokesperson. There were no incidents at either blockade. Both demonstrations were registered with the police at short notice.
The farmers' protests are directed against planned subsidy cuts by the federal government. The tax concessions on agricultural diesel are to be gradually abolished. The fact that the coalition government has withdrawn some of its plans for cuts is not enough for farmers.
