The energy company Leag commissioned a photovoltaic park in Boxberg (district of Görlitz) on Tuesday. The 23-hectare solar park is expected to generate up to 26,000 megawatt hours of electricity per year, the company announced. The solar plant is to become part of the Leag GigawattFactory, which is set to make up to seven gigawatts of renewable green electricity generation available for base load by 2030 with an investment of ten billion euros.
