The Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen (Saxony Technology Founders Fund) plans to support around 40 start-ups in its next funding period. For this purpose, 93.5 million euros are available, the fund announced on Thursday. The founders could receive between 200,000 and 5 million euros in funding. In question would be "knowledge-based and technology-oriented" companies of various industries.

The fund exists since 2008. So far, more than 100 companies were accompanied in the start-up phase. In addition to the Free State of Saxony, investors include various savings banks, the Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Sachsen and, more recently, the Sächsische Aufbaubank.
