Pupils in Saxony start their summer vacation and receive their school reports. Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs provides information on graduation figures and report hotline.

The well-deserved summer break begins for pupils in Saxony. This Wednesday, they will receive their school reports and then the summer vacations begin.

As the Ministry of Education announced on Tuesday, 520,400 pupils will receive their school reports. For around 20,900 secondary school graduates, around 13,600 high school graduates and 2,800 graduates of technical colleges, the end of their school years has come.

Those who are not happy with their report cards can seek comfort on the report card hotline. The contacts there can encourage children and show them ways to get off to a good start in the new school year. Parents can also contact the hotline.

Minister of Education Christian Piwarz (CDU) thanked the approximately 39,400 teachers for their work. The crises, the increasingly heterogeneous student body and the lack of new recruits are pushing teachers to their limits,

the education union GEW criticized the fact that the last few weeks have been more stressful than they have been for a long time due to the short school year. There is hardly any improvement in sight for the next school year; the teacher shortage in Saxony is massive and pupil numbers are rising.
