From this Saturday, the Central German Craft Fair will be presenting the latest innovations for home, garden and leisure in Leipzig. The show will take place in combination with the Haus-Garten-Freizeit trade fair, as the organizer announced on Friday. Around 750 exhibitors from 20 countries are expected. They will be showcasing their latest products and services in three exhibition halls until February 18.
Experienced tradespeople will be presenting their options for installing mini solar systems or innovations for age-appropriate bathroom renovations, among other things. In addition, trends relating to self-sufficiency such as urban gardening, beekeeping and fermentation will be highlighted. A cargo bike course will also be used to test whether environmentally friendly mobility is also possible with heavy tools. Young tradespeople will also be represented at the trade fair.
A panel discussion on Wednesday will also feature Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens), Saxony's Minister President Michael Kretschmer (CDU) and the President of the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts, Jörg Dittrich, who will discuss challenges and solutions for the skilled crafts sector.
Combination tickets for the trade fair double are available online or at the ticket office on site. Visitors can also use their ticket to visit the motorcycle trade fair taking place at the same time on the opening weekend.
