Halfway through the school year: In Saxony, a good half million pupils will receive their interim reports on Friday (February 14). Then it's off to the two-week winter vacations. "Now it's time to sleep in, recharge your batteries and enjoy time with family and friends. This will give us the tailwind we need to really get going again in the second half of the school year," said Minister of Education Conrad Clemens (CDU).
This year, there will once again be a report hotline on Friday from 11 am to 4 pm. Experts will be on hand to give advice on grades. "No one should start the winter vacations with unanswered questions or unhappy," said Clemens. The mid-year information sessions allow students and parents to take stock of the situation.
In total, there are half-year reports for 526,350 pupils in the state. Of these, 153,200 are at elementary school, 20,100 at special schools, 124,150 at secondary schools and around 113,000 girls and boys at grammar schools.
