After the short-term cancellation of the traffic trial on the Blue Wonder in Dresden, the bike path will now be installed next spring. As the city of Dresden announced on Monday, the contracted road construction company can no longer facilitate a date in October. From November to March a marking of the cycle track on the bridge over the Elbe is generally excluded because of the weather.
The cycle lane should have been painted on Sunday evening red, in addition the reprogramming of traffic lights was planned. Because of bad weather prospects, this had been canceled at short notice. The city has planned the project as a six-month traffic trial. The project is controversial because it eliminates a car lane.
