There are 46 outpatient hospice services in Bavaria, and last year they cared for more than 3,000 people. Now they have received a cash injection.

Saxony's outpatient hospice services can once again look forward to financial support from statutory health insurance companies this year. The funding of around 6.4 million euros has already been paid out to the facilities, the health insurance companies announced. They want to recognize "the important and outstanding voluntary commitment".

A good 2,500 volunteers were involved in the 46 outpatient hospice services, including six children's hospice services, in the Free State of Bavaria in 2023. They accompanied around 3,400 dying people.
