RB Leipzig will play their first away game of the new season at champions and cup winners Bayer Leverkusen as a top match. According to the exact schedule of the German Football League (DFL), RB will play at the Werkself on matchday 2, August 31, at 6:30 pm. For the season opener on August 24, the Saxons will host VfL Bochum on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
After the international break, the action continues on matchday 3 on September 14 with the explosive clash against 1. FC Union Berlin. The game kicks off at 3.30 pm on Saturday. RB then have a Sunday evening (September 22/19:30) at Bundesliga promoted FC St. Pauli before facing FC Augsburg the following Saturday (15:30).
