Dresdner SC's volleyball players have continued their winning streak. The team of coach Alexander Waibl lived up to its role as favorites at USC Münster and won 3:0 (25:18, 25:22, 25:20). With the three points against the penultimate team in the table, the team from the city on the Elbe also remains at the top of the table.
The visitors from Dresden started the game with great focus. They served with pressure, director Sarah Straube used her attackers variably from a stable reception and the defense also stood firm. Münster got into the game better in the second period and kept things absolutely even, but the leaders kept their nerve in crunch time and made fewer mistakes than their opponents.
In the third set, the DSC women stepped up the pressure once more from the middle of the set onwards and, with a stable performance in all elements, gained a lead that they did not relinquish. A service error by USC ended the match after 74 minutes. National player Sarah Straube was named most valuable player at the end.
