RB Leipzig must do without international soccer player Benjamin Henrichs in the endurance test of the Champions League against Manchester City. The 26-year-old is suffering from a minor muscle injury, coach Marco Rose announced on Tuesday. In contrast, Timo Werner is ready for the clash with the defending champions on Wednesday (21:00/Dazn). The striker had recently missed two games due to back problems. Dani Olmo is back in training, but is not yet an option.
Leipzig does not have the best memories of City. The last duel so far ended in March 0:7 in the round of 16 second leg of the royal class. "A lot of things came together there, we were mega dissatisfied. Also because of the height. But we now have a new season and are quite decent on it," Rose said.
