RB Leipzig are also testing against Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers on their first US tour. The Bundesliga club also announced its second stop. It will be Miami. After the guest appearance in New York from July 28 to August 1, RB will be in Miami from August 1 to 3 and play against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Chase Stadium on August 3 (7:30 p.m. local time). The team with former Leipzig players Hee-Chan Hwang (2020-2021) and Matheus Cunha (2018-2020) finished 14th last season.
The Saxons will start training for the new season on July 4 without their professionals who are at the European Championship. They will then head to the US training camp from July 28 to August 4. Marco Rose's team will face top English club Aston Villa on July 31 at 8 p.m. local time at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison in the US state of New Jersey.
The RB players who reached the semi-finals at the European Championships or are playing at the Olympics in Paris will be missing there, however. Depending on how the tournament goes, the national team players will start their preparations with their teams later. After the first round of the DFB Cup (August 16-18), the Bundesliga season starts on August 23.
