A maximum of five matches will decide who becomes German women's volleyball champion. In the first duel, Schweriner SC prevails against Dresdner SC. The match is exciting for a long time.

The Schweriner SC volleyball team started the final series of the best-of-five for the German championship with a hard-fought win. In the first duel against Dresdner SC, the record champions won 3:0 (25:23, 26:24, 25:22) against the cup winners, who had eliminated defending champions Allianz MTV Stuttgart in the semi-finals, and thus made the most of their home advantage in the opening game. The second match will take place next Wednesday (7:00 p.m.) in Dresden.

The spectators saw both teams go up and down in the first set. Schwerin took a clear lead twice (7:3/16:11), gave up the advantage again, but were still able to celebrate in the end. In the second set, both teams struggled to get their serve through for a long time. However, after defending a set point at 23:24, the SSC scored three points in a row to take a 2:0 lead in the set.

By winning the third set, Schwerin made everything clear. This set was also evenly poised until shortly before the end. However, the team of head coach Felix Koslowski then pulled 23:20 ahead and held on for the win.
