A 16-year-old boy was the victim of a robbery in Meusdorfer Park in Leipzig on Thursday evening. At around 10 p.m., an unknown offender attacked the teenager as he was walking through the park on Prager Straße.
The criminal first tried to steal the boy's bag, but failed. According to police spokeswoman Britta Herlemann, the perpetrator then announced that he was armed, whereupon the victim handed over several valuables. The total value of the stolen items amounts to more than 100 euros. After the incident, the 16-year-old had to be treated as an outpatient in a clinic.
The perpetrator is described as follows: around 1.70 to 1.75 meters tall, normal build, fully masked at the time of the crime and wearing a dark blue or black quilted jacket, black pants and black shoes.
The Leipzig criminal investigation department has started an investigation into the robbery.
