Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports will be operating their winter flight schedules from Sunday. Those who are drawn to the sun have a choice of various destinations.

The winter schedule comes into force at Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports next Sunday. According to the plan, aircraft will now also be flying from Leipzig/Halle to Tirana three times a week, Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG announced. Up to 126 flights to 13 different countries - including Spain, Egypt, Portugal and Greece - will take off from Leipzig/Halle every week.

From Dresden, there are still flights to the vacation resorts of Hurghada in Egypt, Tenerife, Las Palmas and Fuerteventura. Other destinations include Funchal in Portugal, Tromsø in Norway and Zurich. According to the information provided, the winter flight schedule will be valid until March 29 next year.

Ryanair, the Irish low-cost airline, recently slashed its services in Germany and announced that it would no longer be flying to Dresden and Leipzig, among other destinations, in summer 2025.
