Dresden can expect a special highlight: stand-up comedian Lisa Feller will be performing at this year's HOPE Gala, which will take place on October 26, 2024 at Schauspielhaus Dresden. For the first time in the history of the HOPE Gala, the show program will be enriched with comedy. Viola Klein, initiator of the gala, is particularly pleased about Feller's commitment: "We are delighted that Lisa Feller has agreed to perform. I really like her humor."
Lisa Feller, known from "Schillerstrasse" and the ARD show "Ladies Night", will present excerpts from her current program "Dirty Talk". With her usual quick-witted humor, she takes the mickey out of topics such as "dirty talk" in social media and private relationships and humorously appeals for more friendliness in our dealings with one another.
Music highlights with up-and-coming talents and established artists
In addition to comedy, the HOPE Gala offers a varied musical program. Young musicians from the Heinrich Schütz Conservatory Dresden will perform for the first time and accompany "The Voice Kids" participant Erika under the direction of Prof. Milko Kersten. Chelsea Fontenel, 'The Voice Kids' star from 2013, will also be returning to the stage. The talented singer-songwriter and tennis player has been delighting audiences since she was a child.
Further musical highlights include Bell Book & Candle, Pat Appleton, Karl Frierson ("De Phazz") and Rolf Stahlhofen. The after-show party will be provided by funk & soul diva Pamela O'Neal aka Tina Turner, before DJane Gitta Saxx takes over. A special moment of the evening will be the tribute to Udo Jürgens by Martin Schmitt with big band - fitting for the 90th birthday of the pop star.
Prominent guests of honor support the good cause
In addition to the show acts, there will also be celebrity support at the HOPE Gala. Actresses such as Simone Thomalla and Janina Hartwig, Olympic canoeing champion Tom Liebscher-Lucz and many other stars will be selling raffle tickets and providing support at the bar. Cathy Hummels, who hosted the HOPE Gala in 2018, has also announced that she will be making a statement for the good cause with her outfit and posting about it on social media.
Remaining tickets still available
There are still a few remaining tickets in three categories available for the gala. Tickets cost 250, 280 or 330 euros and include a champagne reception and access to the after-show party with live music and culinary specialties in addition to the gala. Tickets are available on the HOPE Gala website at www.hopegala.de.
The HOPE Gala supports the HOPE Cape Town project, which is committed to helping children in South Africa.
