In future, Leipzig's Grassi Museum will no longer be a gloomy block in the dark, but will light up. The museum has announced that the windows of the Bauhaus master Josef Albers facing the city center will be illuminated with LED art. The 170 glass surfaces will be fitted with light panels that will light up in a specific sequence and brightness. The artist group Doppeldenk is responsible for designing the animation.
The Grassi Museum was built between 1925 and 1929 in the Art Deco style. The building was extensively renovated in the early 2000s. Many details were restored true to the original.
