Kangaroo offspring at Chemnitz Zoo

Visitors to Chemnitz Zoo may be lucky enough to see young kangaroos. Two of the three females currently have one young each in their pouch, the city announced. The young animals were probably born last year and have been growing up in their mother's pouch ever since. They now regularly peek out of the pouch. Occasionally they have already moved outside the pouch, it said. "But they still leave it relatively rarely." According to the information, young kangaroos are suckled by their mother until they are around one year old.
