The suspension railroad in Dresden resumes operation on Saturday. Following the spring overhaul, it will start the new season at 10.00 a.m., as announced by the Dresden transport company. It will run daily until 6 p.m. until March 28, after which the summer timetable with longer operating times will apply.
A key part of the maintenance was reportedly the replacement of the large drive motor. In addition, the TÜV inspection was successfully completed.
Funicular goes into maintenance
While the suspension railroad is back in operation, the spring overhaul of the neighboring funicular begins. From March 24 to April 4, maintenance work will be carried out on the haul rope. It will then resume regular summer operations from April 5.
