Four days before the cup semi-final in Potsdam, Dresden SC's volleyball players put in a successful dress rehearsal against VC Wiesbaden and consolidated their top position.

The volleyball women of Dresdner SC have continued their winning streak in the Bundesliga. Alexander Waibl's team lived up to its role as favorites and won 3:1 (25:23, 26:24, 19:25, 25:16) against VC Wiesbaden on the twelfth matchday. With their fifth win in a row, the team from the city on the Elbe defended their lead in the table and recharged their batteries four days before the cup semi-final at SC Potsdam.

The result somewhat belies the course of the game. The game against the sixth-placed team in the table was fiercely contested from the outset in front of 2,773 spectators. Both teams exchanged blows at eye level with many long rallies. The hosts repeatedly had to make up ground against the very compact and stable visitors. The DSC women narrowly won the first two sets thanks to their tremendous mentality, while Wiesbaden rewarded themselves in the third. After that, however, the DSC women around top scorer Marta Levinska, who was once again the most successful scorer with 24 points, went one better and secured the three points after 105 minutes.
