A change of personnel is imminent at Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG in Leipzig. The airport operator's Chief Financial Officer is leaving.

The Chief Financial Officer of Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG, Ingo Ludwig, is leaving the company. The Leipzig-based airport operator announced that Ludwig would be leaving with the agreement of the Supervisory Board on October 15. He has decided to pursue a different career.

Ludwig had been on the Management Board since 2021 and, according to the company, had made an important contribution to its further development. The company operates Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports. "The restructuring process has been successfully initiated and long-term financing has been secured until at least 2026," explained the Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, Hiltrud Werner, according to a statement. The position of Chief Financial Officer is to be filled in the near future.

Leipzig/Halle Airport on the border of Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt is now the second-largest cargo airport in Germany.
