Free fruit, vegetables and milk twice a week: an EU school program makes this possible for nursery and school children. Institutions can apply now.

Kindergartens, primary and special schools can once again apply for the EU school program for free fruit, vegetables and milk for the coming school year. The online application process starts on Friday and ends on April 17, as announced by the Ministry of Agriculture. Institutions already participating in the program in the current school year must and can also reapply.

The approved institutions will be announced from the beginning of May. Once approved, the daycare centers and schools will receive two portions of fresh fruit, vegetables and milk per week for each child. Fruit and vegetables are only available to primary and special schools, while milk is also available to nurseries and kindergartens. Participation is intended to promote healthy eating.
