Ex-"Polizeiruf 110" investigator Charly Hübner is a guest at this year's "Dresdner Reden" series. According to the organizers, the actor, who has won awards for his work in theater, cinema and television, will speak at the Schauspielhaus on 16 March about the figure of the jester, who historically always had a commenting, reflective function at court or in the theater.
Hübner, born in 1972, studied at the Berlin Academy of Dramatic Arts "Ernst Busch", is known as Inspector Bukow in Rostock's "Polizeiruf 110" or from films such as "Bornholmer Straße". After leaving the crime series, he made his directorial debut with the film "Sophia, der Tod und ich" and published a book.
Founded in 1992, the series brings together artists, politicians and journalists to discuss their views on society and politics. Since then, guests have included former German Chancellors Willy Brandt and Helmut Schmidt, former German President Joachim Gauck, writers such as Christoph Hein, Chingiz Aitmatov, Günter Grass and Adolf Muschg, as well as artists such as Jonathan Meese and US architect Daniel Libeskind.
