In Dresden, the water level of the Elbe has dropped below five meters, meaning that alert level 2 has been lifted. As the city announced on Monday, the water level has been falling steadily since Saturday. In view of the currently stable and precipitation-free weather conditions, the city expects water levels to continue to fall in the coming days.
However, it is currently not possible to predict when the water level will fall below the alert level 1 guideline because some water levels in the Czech Republic are stagnating at a higher level. Ice formation in the riverbank areas also has no influence on further water runoff.
