Dresdner SC's volleyball players won their last home game of the Bundesliga main round against Ladies in Black Aachen by a clear 3:0 (25:19, 25:18, 25:23). The match no longer had any influence on Dresden's position in the table, as Alexander Waibl's team had already been sure of third place for some time.
The newly crowned cup winners lived up to their role as favorites against the penultimate-placed team in front of 2,901 spectators. Although the visitors from Aachen were able to keep the game close for a long time in the first and third periods, the Dresdeners played out their quality in the basic elements in the decisive situations, increased the number of shots and showed morale.
In contrast, the Ladies in Black repeatedly made many inaccuracies and produced 17 service errors alone. As a result, the DSC ladies were able to celebrate their 18th win of the season after 75 minutes.
